Impressive item and perfect buyer aid : Temperature Sensitive Single Handle Centerset LED Lavatory Faucet, Chrome

I received this faucet today and found it uninstallable for a proper Us sink. There are two problems:

1. First, the water leads are designed backwards for proper sinks. As other reviewers have said, the 1/2 in. Which regularly goes into the faucet is used to go into the shut off value for this faucet and the 3/8 in. Is used to go into the faucet instead of the shut-pff value. This places you in the precarious position of whether calling a plumber of trying to find a way to reverse the leads with a another set of leads or try to outline out how to retrofit, which is stupid. This Is A Major make Flaw with the product.

2. If you have a ceramic sink the hole for the faucet will be too small to fit the stem that connects the fauct. This is another Major make Flaw - the stem should be slightly smnaller to fit more sinks.

I am sending this back today because of these serious make flaws. I am not a plumber and do not pretent to be one -- but I can tell a backward make when I see it. The Wow factor is not worth the hassle of trying to retro-fit make flaws.

Ok -- modernize -- buyer aid contacted me separately via e-mail. They were very accommadating! Told me about adapters that they sell which are indeed the 1/2 - 9/16 adapters and they work great!

They indeed sent me a change faucet for my trouble with the adapters and I was able to setup it in 2 hours.

Things to know about installation:

1. On the adapters it is best to use teflon tape on the shutoff adapters - that way there is no leaks.
2. If you have a ceramic sink -- the ceramic coating may get in the way of the stem. Use a demel to shave the coating slightly (about 1/8 of an inch) then the stem will fit.
3. To setup the best way, place the the two lead straight through the stem, O-shape rubber and screw cap Before attaching them to the faucet -- otherwise if you try to place the stem and or the lock screw cap after you attach the leads to the faucet they will Not fit straight through these items because of the large nuts on the 1/2 in. Leads.
4. While this can be a one-man job -- they advise in the instructions for a second person. I would advise as well so that while you are under the sink trying to screw in the lock screw -- someone can be up top development sure the faucet is level and tight before you leave the position of screwing in the lock screw cap.
5. I would not use the very tiny screws for the battery holder. Instead, since it locks into place, I would use one screw at the top to position the owner and double-sided tape to the back of the owner and the surface where you will attach it. Make sure you place it close enough to the faucet since the wire lead is not too long (about 8-10 inches).
6. The way that worked best for me was to get everything completed and attached the leads to the shut off valves last.
7. Test for any leaks Before installing the batteries.

These are just suggestions. Other ideas may work as well. That all being said -- if you corollary these items, the job is a pretty easy job and the Wow factor is pretty cool.

Good luck to all -- I advise this faucet. It does have a Very Heavy Stream -- so be careful. If you turn in on full blast you will splash all over the place!
